Red Gram Rice

Red Gram Rice
Ingredients:
    Red Gram Rice Ingredients
  • ·         Red gram – 1 cup.
  • ·         Ginger garlic paste – 3 tablespoons.
  • ·         Green chilli – 4.
  • ·         Chopped Coriander – 1/2 cup.
  • ·         Medium size onion – 1.
  • ·         Rice – 3 cups.
  • ·         Turmeric powder – 1/2 tablespoon.
  • ·         Salt to taste.
  • ·         Oil as required.
Procedure to prepare Red Gram Rice:
  • Firstly chop the onions and slit the green chillies set aside. Now take a bowl pour water and add cleaned and washed rice then soak it for about 30 minutes.

  • Secondly take cooker pour oil; add chopped onion and green chilli fry it 2 minutes and add red gram fry it 3 minutes in medium flame till the raw aroma rises.
  • Thirdly add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and chopped coriander fry it for about 5 minutes in medium flame.
  •  Finally add 6 cups of water, add soaked rice and salt as per required quantity and mix well together all ingredients then close the cooker pan with the lid, cook it for 3 whistles then heat off.     
  • Try and serve this healthy red gram rice recipe as a breakfast or prepare as a lunch box for kids.
