Procedure to Prepare Moong Dal
Avadalu Recipe:
Step 1: Firstly soak
moong dal in water for 3 hours.
Step 2: Take a mixer
add soaked moong dal and salt as per taste and some water grind these
ingredient together and prepare thick paste then transfer it into a bowl.
Step 3: Heat oil in
a heavy bottomed vessel for deep frying and heat till piping hot reduce flame
to medium.
Step 4: Wet your
hands with water take a batter and make it a lemon sized balls. Slightly press
the balls like a vada shape.
Step 5: Slowly drop
the vada into the hot oil and fry it both sides on medium flame till it gets
the golden brown color set aside. Make
all vadalu in same way. Drain the vadalu into the absorbent paper to absorb the
excess oil in vadalu.
Step 6: Take a
frying pan pour oil add mustard seeds, garlic cloves, curry leaves, dry chilli
and pinch of turmeric powder mix it very well and fry it for about 1 minute in
medium heat after that add beat the thickened curd and required quantity of
salt mix it well together in low flame then turn of the heat drop the fried
vadalu in curd mixture.
Step 7: Leave it for
20 minutes for them to absorb the curd keep aside.
Step 8: Try and
serve this moong dal avadalu food recipe.
