- · Chicken – 250 grams
- · Chopped onions - 2 cups
- · Chopped green chilli – 3 tablespoons
- · Garam masala 4 tablespoons
- · Ginger garlic paste -2 tablespoons
- · Coriander powder -2 tablespoons
- · Salt to taste
- · Turmeric powder - ½ tablespoon
- · Red chilli powder to taste
- · Tamarind leaves -1 cup
- · Oil as required
- · Water – ½ cup
Procedure to prepare chicken with
tamarind leaves curry:
- Step 1: Firstly clean the tamarind leaves and finely grate it.
- Step 2: Take a pan add oil, chopped onions, turmeric powder and chopped green chilli fry it about 10 minutes
- Step 3: Now add ginger garlic paste fry it until the raw aroma goes off.
- Step 4: Add garam masala powder and chicken pieces sauté it about 20 minutes in medium flame.
- Step 5: Now add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder and soaked tamarind leaves then mix it well
- Step 6: Add ½ cup of water cook it about 10 minutes until the oil separates out of the curry
