- · Chopped bottle gourd – 1 cup
- · Red gram – 1 /2 cup
- · Green chilli – 4
- · Tamarind pulp – 1 /2 cup
- · Chopped dry chilli – 4 tablespoons
- · Mustard seeds – 1 /2 tablespoon
- · cumin seeds – 1 /2 tablespoon
- · Salt to taste
- · Curry leaves few
- · Chopped Garlic – 2 tablespoons
- · Red chilli powder – 2 tablespoons
- · Oil required
- · water – 2 cups
Procedure to prepare
Bottle Gourd with red gram:
- Step 1: Firstly clean the red gram and soak it for about 10 minutes.
- Step 2: Take a cooker add red gram, green chilli, add 2- cup water close the pan with the cooker lid cook it for 5 whistles. Keep it aside till the steam goes off.
- Step 3: Now open the cooker and add chopped bottle gourd, salt, red chilli powder and add 1 cup water cook it for about 5 minutes.
- Step 4: Now add tamarind pulp cook it 10 minutes.
- Step 5: Take a frying pan for seasoning pour oil, add mustard seeds, Chopped Garlic 2 tablespoons, cumin seeds, curry leaves few, and add chopped dry red chilli sauté it for about 5 minutes in medium flame.
- Step 6: Now add seasoning in prepared red gram and sauté it about 2 minutes and heat off.
