Directions to Prepare Onion Bondas
Recipe:
Step 1: Firstly wash
and chop onion, green chilli and curry leaves in medium size then transfer it
to a plate and set aside.
Step 2: Wash and
soak black gram overnight and drain the water and wash it one time with water.
Step 3: Take a bowl
pour water add idly ravva and soak it for 2 hours then wash the idly rava well
and set aside then squeeze the idly rava with palm of your hands and remove the
excess water in the rava and set aside.
Step 4: Take a mixer add soaked black gram.
Step 5: And grind it very well and make a fine paste by
adding little amount of water.
Step 6: Then transfer the prepared paste into a bowl and set aside.
Step 7 : Take a large
bowl add prepared black gram paste and add squeezed idly ravva mix well and add
required amount of salt as per taste and prepare thick paste then add chopped
onion, green chili, cumin seeds and curry leaves mix well and set it aside for
one hour.
Step 8: Take a
vessel pour oil heat it for 1 minute once the oil is heated make the batter
into medium size round bajjis and shape them with your fingers and drop the
prepared bondas into the hot oil and fry it both
sides till it gets golden color drain the bondas into an absorbent or kitchen
paper
Step 9: Try and serve
this onion bondas recipe along with coriander or tomato or coconut chutneys.
