Way to Prepare Tomato Pickle Recipe:
Step
1: Wash the tomatoes well and pat
dry them with absorbent cloth then place then in a dry cotton cloth for few
minutes after that chop them into medium size pieces and set aside.
Step
2: Take a large bowl add tomato
pieces, turmeric powder and add required amount of salt mix them very well
together and keep aside.

3: Transfer the prepared tomato mixture
into a glass jar and cover jar with the lid and keep it aside in a dry place
for 2 days on the third day squeeze the mixture with your hand palms and
separate the tomatoes pieces and tomato juice then spread the squeezed tomato
pieces in a plate and allow it to dry.

4: To the tomato juice add tamarind
let the tamarind soak in the tomato juice.

5: Sundry the tomato pieces and
tomato juice, and cover the tomato juice with a lid do this for 2 days till the
tomato piece become crisp when the tomato pieces are crisp
Step
6: Take a mixer add soaked tamarind
in a jar grind it very well and make a thick and smooth paste then transfer the
prepared tomato pieces into a bowl and keep aside.
Step
7: Take another jar and add half of
the dried tomato pieces and grind the tomato pieces coarsely then remove it to
a dry bowl and cover the bowl with lid and set aside.
Step
8: Heat a pan add mustard seeds and
fenugreek seeds dry fry them for few minutes till they become roast then switch
off the flame and transfer the fried ingredients into a plate and allow it to
cool.

9: Once they become cool then pound
them very well and make a fine powder and set aside.
Step
10 : Take a large dry bowl add
prepared tamarind paste, add tomato pieces, red chili powder, garlic cloves,
prepared mustard and fenugreek seeds powder and add required amount of salt as
per taste then stir them very well together and leave it for 2 hours.
Step
11: Heat sesame oil in a pan add
mustard seeds, black gram, add few curry leaves, asafoetida powder and add dry
chili fry it in medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes then switch off the flame and
add this to the prepared tomato pickle mixture and stir them very well and keep
aside. Transfer the prepared pickle into a ceramic glass jar and close the jar
with lid and leaves it for 3 days then tomato pickle is ready to serve we can
preserve this for one year.
