Procedure to Prepare
Amaranths Stew or Amaranths Pulusu Recipe:
Step 1: Firstly wash and chop the amaranths, onion, green chilli and tomato then cut
them into length wise and set aside in a plate.
Step 2: Take a bowl and add rice flour add little by little water prepared to
smooth thick paste set aside.
Step 3 : Take a vessel pour oil add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, add
slightly crushed garlic cloves, dry chilli, fenugreek leaves and add green chilli
fry it for 1 minute in medium flame.
Step 4: Add chopped onions and add chopped amaranths leaves fry it in medium flame
till it gets light golden brown then add tomato pieces mix very well everything
together fry it for about 3 minutes in normal flame.
Step 5: Add them water and add required quantity of salt mix very well everything
together and boil it for about 10 minutes in medium flame.
Step 6 : All ingredients cooked add approx 2
cups of tamarind pulp mix well and bring to a boil and reduce flame then add
rice flour paste stir it very well continuously to avoid lumps formation and
cover it with lid and let it cook for about 10 minutes and you see specks of
oil on the top.
