Procedure to Cook
Yam Pulusu or Yam tangy Stew Curry Recipe:
Step 1: Firstly wash the yam and remove the peel of yam then cut it into medium
size pieces and set aside.
Step 2: Take vessel pour water, add pinch of turmeric power and add chopped yam
pieces boil it for about 10 minutes till the yam is cooked completely then
switch off the flame and remove them to a plate and cool it.
Step 3: Wash and chop the onion, green chilli and tomato pieces into small size
and set aside in a plate.
Step 4 : Heat a vessel pour some oil add chopped onions and green chilli fry it for
3 minutes in medium flame till it turns light golden brown then add tomato
pieces mix well everything together and fry it for few minutes till the raw
aroma goes off.
Step 5: Add coriander powder, add red chilli powder and add required quantity of
salt as per taste mix well fry it for 1 minute and add them water mix well
close the lid and cook it for about 5 minutes.
Step 6: Now add boiled yam pieces, grated coriander and add tamarind pulp mix well
everything together and cook it for about another 5 minutes or more till the
pulusu or gravy becomes thick and you see oil separated out of the curry then
switch off the flame.
Step 7: Try and serve this tasty and tangy yam pulusu or yam stew curry recipe
along with hot steamed rice or chapathi.
