Procedure to Prepare
Curry Leaves and Red Chilli Powder:
Step 1: Firstly remove the curry leaves from stems and soak the curry leaves in
water for 2 to 3 minutes then drain the excess water and repeat this process
for 3 times then place the curry leaves in cotton cloth and leave it for 1 hour
once the curry leaves completely dry then transfer the curry leaves into a bowl
and keep aside.
Step 2: Take a frying pan and dry chili fry it for 1 minute then add dried curry
leaves dry roast them until it changes the color and also the nice aroma rises
then switch of the flame and transfer the fried curry leaves and dry chilli
into a large plate and allow it to cool.
Step 3: In the same pan add cumin seeds, black gram and add sesame seeds fry it in
low flame for 3 to 4 minutes till the ingredients raw aroma goes off then
transfer them to a bowl and keep aside.
Step 5: Then take a blender add fried curry leaves, dry chillies, cumin seeds,
black gram, sesame seeds, required quantity of the rock salt and add garlic
pods grind them very well together and make a fine powder
Step 6: Preserve the prepared curry leaves powder in a sterilized glass jar.
Step 7: Serve this tasty curry leaves and red chilli powder food recipe along with
hot steamed rice with ghee or gingili oil.
Step 8: Try and enjoy this recipe taste with idly and dosa.
