Procedure to Make
Sprouted Garelu Recipe:
Step 1 : Firstly soak chickpeas, black eyed peas and green peas in lot of water
overnight or for 10 hour, in the morning drain the water wash them very well
and chop the onions, green chilli and curry leaves into medium size and set
aside in a plate.
Step 2: Hang the soaked chickpeas, black eyed peas, green peas in a moist cloth for
another 8 hours when you open the bundle you will see all the grams are
sprouted.
Step 3: Take a mixer and add sprouted chickpeas, black eyes peas and add green
peas and add 1 cup of water mix it very well together and prepare thick paste
then transfer the prepared paste into a bowl and set aside.
Step 4: Now take a bowl and add prepared paste, add chopped onions, green chilli, cumin
seeds, curry leaves and add required amount of salt as per taste and blend it
well then keep aside.
Step 5: Prepare into a round gare with the mixture and take a cover applying water
to hand each time make a hole in the centre of the gare.
Step 6: Take a heavy bottomed vessel and add oil for deep frying drop the gare
into the hot oil fry it both sides till it gets golden color then remove the
fried gare into the hot oil and place them in kitchen paper from remove the
excess oil from gare do this same process for remaining garelu.
Step 7: Try and serve this tasty and crispy sprouted garelu recipe along with
tomato sauce or green chutney.
